Dear Colleagues and Friends,

We would kindly invite you to submit papers to Vestnik Zoologii (Ukrainian zoological journal).
The journal is being published as a paper version (before 2013, partly in Ukrainian and Russian) by the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and as online version by Versita Publishers (http://versita.metapress.com/content/121139/). Since 2013 it will publish papers strictly in English.
The renewed journal will be easily accessible online, indexed and abstracted by Zoological Record, Scopus, CAB Abstracts, Biological Abstracts, Aquatic Sciences Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA), AGRIS, Agricoli, Biological Preview, etc. Vestnik Zoologii is included into Thompson Reuters master list. We do our best to evaluate submitted manuscripts strictly and to process them as soon as possible. All manuscripts are reviewed by two or three experts.

Articles are published free of costs; have DOI and pdf free of charge for authors.
Now, due to transition from Russian into English and strict requirements to content of the journal, we discovered a gap in our portfolio. To fill this gap up, we ask you as well known authors of pithy articles to send us one of your new manuscripts we promise you to publish at the earliest possible date. We need your help as qualified authors.
We welcome quality papers on zoology, animal ecology, parasitology, faunistics, zoogeography, animal anatomy, histology, descriptive and comparative morphology, physiology of animals, zoological aspects of nature conservancy, systematics and taxonomy, ethology, evolutionary studies, including molecular phylogeny etc., preferably on the Western Palaearctic and in particular Ukrainian faunas, but also consider papers based on material from other regions of the World. We also publish book reviews and biographical articles dedicated to outstanding zoologists.

Предложение интересное. А цветные фототаблицы публикуются? И если да, то за деньги или просто так?

Прецеденты публикации цветных фото были, в том числе в этом году. Но это исключение, а не правило - печатали фото инклюз в янтаре. Возможно за счет авторов.
