Здравствуйте. Нашла этот вид в Нижнем Новгороде. Видимо тоже откуда-то завезли.
Разослано Второе информационное письмо малакологической конференции в Борке
Сегодня утром получил сообщение из Борка, что наша заявка на проведение конференции, поданная в РФФИ, получила поддержку фонда.
Скончался Игорь Моисеевич Хохуткин
57 лет в Институте он проработал. Похороны в субботу. Игорь Моисеевич родился 28 сентября 1934 года в г. Свердловске. В 1958 г....

Dear colleagues,

The Society of Malacology of Mexico, the American Malacological Society, the Latinoamerican Society of Malacology, and the Western Society of Malacologists cordially invites you to attend the meeting Mollusca 2014.

The Meeting of the Americas is a conference that gathers the CLAMA, as well as the corresponding annual meeting of the AMS, the WSM and the SMM.

Mollusca 2014 will be held at the Library Complex “Amoxcalli” in the Facultad de Ciencias, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Mexico City, from 23 to 27 June 2014.

We are expecting wide global participation in the Congress, and anticipate highlighting the tremendous progress in molluscan research of the Americas. Oral talks and posters will be considered on any topic that includes mollusks: including, but not limited to, taxonomy, ecology, biology, evolution, fisheries, and the distribution and conservation of marine, terrestrial and freshwater mollusks.

Currently proposed symposia are:

Bivalvia of Americas – organized by Diego Zelaya and Paul Valentich-Scott
Currently proposed workshops and classes are:

The Purple snail– organized by Zoila Castillo

Histology – organized by Pilar Torres

We are actively soliciting suggestions for additional symposia and workshops. Please contact one of the meeting organizers if you would like to assist in organizing a symposium. See contact information below or send an email to:

The Congress will begin with a Public Lecture on 22 June 2014.

Other activities:

There will be Student Competition for best oral presentation and best poster presentation. Prizes will be given by individual societies sponsoring the meeting.
Each night will be complemented with leisure activities (Mexican pub, visit to the Anthropology Museum, etc.). There will be ample opportunity to discuss, exchange ideas and get feedback from colleagues from around the globe as well as making new friends.

A Mollusca Photography Contest will be included at our meeting. Details will be forthcoming.

End of reduced registration fees: 31 March 2014
End of abstract submission: 15 April 2014

Ехать далековато и дороговато, особенно в свете проблем в РАН. А так интересно было бы. Никто не собирается?

Вот поэтому и не поеду :) Да и лето - не самое лучшее время для конференций в наших краях. Лучше использовать для полевых работ.
